Resilient, Green, Digital, Social and Global Europe
Resilient, Green, Digital, Social and Global Europe are five action lines of the Portuguese Presidency. Portugal is holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in rather unprecedented time which requires decisive and comprehensive actions.
A need to accelerate the digital transition as a driver of economic recovery and to promote digital innovation and digital economy brings a need to develop digital skills. This implies skills that workers need to adapt to new work models, such as teleworking, but also to facilitate the digital transformation of businesses and digital platforms.
Digital education, the future of work and promoting the development of appropriate skills for a modern and digital economy will remain high in policy agenda.
This will require incentives focusing on lifelong learning, qualifications and skills recognition, innovative teaching methods, mobility in education and inclusion.
BIRDhub will support building cooperation in education and training ecosystem and will promote initiatives under the updated European skills agenda and the new Digital education action plan.
