Regional Studies Association Early Career Conference 2014

The Regional Studies Association encourages submissions of abstracts to the annual Early Career conference, to be held in University of Sheffield, UK from 30th to 31st October 2014. This conference will provide early career researchers with the opportunity to network, collaborate and socialise with others working in regional studies and science.

The objective of the conference is bring together students and early career researchers to present and debate their work in a welcoming and stimulating environment, with a view to getting invaluable feedback and new ideas and learning more about how and where to publish their research results.

Abstract Submission deadline is Friday, 29th August 2014.

Participants working in the following areas are invited to submit an abstract:

  • Politics & Territory
  • Mega-regions
  • Regional Mapping & Visualisation
  • Labour Markets & Migration
  • New Challenges in Urban Planning
  • Big Data & Regions
  • Urban & Regional Governance
  • Innovation & Knowledge
  • City Regions
  • Clusters & Smart Specialisation
  • Spatial Justice

The conference is inclusive which means all abstracts are automatically accepted, the only exceptions are if the abstract does not fall into the scope of Regional Studies, Regional Science or contains inappropriate material.
